ROLE AND EXPECTATIONS:
Responsible for exceeding performance expectations including market share for spot radio, event and digital media.
Work closely with the Program Directors to develop sales opportunities and promotions.
Motivate, coach, develop and train a high performing team of Account Executives.
Establish and reinforce standards of excellence for prospecting, proposal writing and customer service.
Take an active and leading role in business development.
Collaborate with Integrated Media Department to sell all assets and to create new revenue streams.
Be an authentic leader to create an atmosphere of a high performing team.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION:
Three or more years of experience in media sales, integrated selling and/or sales management in radio and digital advertising.
An understanding of strategic account management, ratings, broadcast media planning, and digital execution.
Strategic management of inventory and rates and ability to forecast revenue.
Must be proficient in developing plans and casting vision for revenue growth.
Must be able to work well with other departments to achieve success; possess the ability to work independently and collaboratively with others, have excellent communication skills, flexibility and assertiveness to achieve goals.
Requires demonstrated strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Account Executives are responsible for prospecting, cold calling and generating new business by selling integrated marketing programs that include on-air, online and on-site events and promotions. You will have access to resources and digital assets that far surpass our competitors. Requires a fearless person that is a highly motivated, self starter with the ability to succeed in a competitive environment! The ideal candidate will be outgoing, have a strong work ethic, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, manage their time effectively and be willing to win at all costs. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Previous business to business or media sales experience preferred, but not required. Must posses a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

The KPLV-FM student intern program offers currently enrolled college students hands-on work experience in a dynamic and creative work environment.
Through the program, you have the opportunity to develop tangible skills that may be transferred into many work arenas in the broadcasting business.
There are a few stipulations to our internship program: ·It is open to students, 18 years of age or older. ·It is an unpaid experience, in exchange for academic credit. ·It is open to students currently enrolled in accredited, academic institutions with disciplinesrelating to the broadcasting industry. ·Each internship varies in length, depending upon school/institution credit requirements.
We may have internship positions available in marketing and/or promotions, programming, or digital design.
